Helsinki launched what is believed to be the world’s first sightseeing route designed especially for dogs, timed with the World Dog Show 2025. More than 1,000 pups and their owners joined the debut of The Doggy Route to Happiness, featuring a canine-sized “Stickelius Monument” modeled after the city’s iconic Sibelius Monument, a pup-up café, and Rajasaari Island — a dog-only island open year-round.

With more than 90 dog parks, several dog beaches, and even “library dogs,” Helsinki proves its reputation as the happiest capital in the world extends to four-legged residents.

Since June 2025, Gradis’ciutta winery has hosted Era Domenica / Bila je Nedelja, an installation by artist Corso Zucconi. Dozens of abandoned shoes, some burned, line vineyard paths to recall lives once divided by the Italy–Slovenia border.

The work is part of the Via della Creatività project, linking art, history, and cultural memory across Friuli Venezia Giulia. A film about the installation will premiere during the Sergio Amidei Award, expanding dialogue between art, landscape, and wine culture.
